Tongues and tastebuds will be in for a treat with the arrival of a French Market in Banbury on Friday, 28 March the Savoir Fayre Market will take up residence.

Visitors will be able to browse up to 40 stalls selling a range of French crafts, clothing accessories and foods including cheeses, meats and breads.

Cllr George Reynolds, Cherwell District Council’s deputy leader, said: “Banbury and Bicester are both traditional market towns and these continental markets fit that theme while offering a little something different for shoppers.

“We recently held an Italian market in Bicester and Kidlington so for anyone who missed out on a taste of Italy; there is an opportunity to sample the delights of France. And for those who did enjoy the Italian market, why not come along to the French market and enjoy a different taste of the continent.”

The market will take place in Banbury Market Place on Friday, 28 March from 9am – 5pm.

Banbury Boxing Club

Banbury Boxing Club was founded in September 2012 by brothers Ben and Tom Malcher and Mark Cooper.  The club is proudly affiliated with the A.B.A. and is a club for Competitive Amateur (unpaid) Boxing.

We are a non-profit making, charitable club, run by volunteers and supported by donations, grants and member subscriptions. The main aim of Banbury Boxing Club is to offer affordable boxing classes in a safe environment for competitive boxers to train and compete in the sport of amateur boxing who might one day represent the Home Counties, England or even Team GB!

Ages: 8-13 Times: 18.30-19.30 / Ages 14+ 19.30-20.30

TUESDAY: Boxing Squad (by invite only)
Ages: 9-40 Times: 18.30-20.00

WEDNESDAY: OPEN GYM NIGHT (Members only)
All Members, All Ages welcome to come and train using the facilities at their own leisure. Times: 18.30 – 21.00

THURSDAY: For all levels (INCLUDING BOXING SQUAD)
Ages: 8-13 Times: 18.30-19.30 / Ages 14+ 19.30-20.30

SUNDAY MORNING: Boxing Squad (by invite only)
Ages: 9-40 Times: 10.00-11.00
